Opportunity Detail American Red Cross Biomedical Services is the largest single supplier of blood and blood products in the United States, collecting and processing approximately 40 percent of the blood supply and distributing it to about 2,600 hospitals and transfusion centers nationwide. The Biomedical Services Field Marketing department focuses on the development of marketing materials that encourage the community to donate blood. The Biomedical Services Field Marketing Intern will work with Red Cross National Headquarters Biomedical Services to assist the department in the creation and development of donor marketing materials, specifically those materials that recruit for rare blood types.

The name of our film is HURACÁN and it is about an aspiring mixed martial arts fighter who is dealing with multiple personality disorder.
Principal photography will begin for us on Jan. 20 and we expect to wrap on Feb. 10, with the possibility of some small pickup days. We are looking for interns across all departments, with some starting sooner than others dependent on their roles.
We have attached our lead actress Yara Martinez (Jane The Virgin, The Tick) as well as some of top tier UFC fighters—Jorge Masvidal, Kamaru Usman.
We are also working with some of the top crew in Miami: our DP Mike McGowan who just wrapped on the Harmony Korine movie The Beach Bum with Matthew McConaughey as their steadicam operator and was 2nd unit DP; our production designer Mark Dane has been in the art department for every major movie down here since Bad Boys; our gaffer Jeff Togno was an electric on Iron Man 3, Transporter 2, as well as an assortment of other films and music videos; and our line producer Elayne Keratsis is the biggest production manager/supervisor in town who is currently handling that role for the Martin Scorsese Netflix film The Irishman—just to name a few. Just wanted to give an idea of the department heads the students would be working under and learning from.
Huracán is a psychological thriller about Alonso Santos, an aspiring mixed martial arts fighter struggling to make it as a professional, and suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder. It's a portrait of the desperation to succeed and the isolation that comes with tunnel vision -- an exploration of how much of yourself you're willing to sacrifice to achieve something that means everything to you.
Alonso's court appointed therapist Isabela, and his MMA coach, Drogba, guide him toward self-mastery and his professional career. Both of them insist that he must master himself before he can manifest his destiny. But first he has to come to understand his alternate personality, Huracán. And to do so, he must access the memory, hidden deep away in his psyche, of the nightmarish experience that caused his illness in the first place -- a brutally traumatizing event that occurred during his childhood. Overall Job Description This 3 month internship opportunity is focused around communication, media, and office assistance for the Iowa PGA Section and Foundation. The disparity in cancer treatment is a global public health crisis. “Global Oncology” refers to the application of the concepts of global health to cancer, and implies an approach to the practice of oncology that acknowledges the reality of limited resources in most parts of the world.

This paid internship will consist of working primarily with the University team within TheVentureCity which focuses on creating workshops for the entrepreneurial community, creating programs for student entrepreneurs and for c-level executives.
The intern will also have the ability to work on projects with the other areas within TheVentureCity, like supporting the social media team, engineering, finance, administration and more. They will assist with product management, research, social media management, video production, workshop programming support, and internal organizational activities. This internship will be part-time and the hours can be discussed at the time of interview to fit around your class schedule. The internship will last for 3 months.
Students should have internet research skills, understand social media platforms, great organizational skills (plus if you have worked on events!), interest in venture capital/entrepreneurship or start-ups. Deep interest in technology and tech companies. Must speak English. Spanish not required, but a plus.
This is internship will be paid, as well as the opportunity for course credit. Payment will be discussed at the interview process.

The John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at the University of Miami is a genetics and genomics research institute with world renowned faculty and pioneering research.
The intern would need to write news articles, social media and website content; take and edit photos in Adobe Photoshop for news releases, social media, and website content; use Adobe InDesign to create different media (flyers, posters, fans, bookmarks, brochures) for our studies; create content for and edit the backend of our websites (ie creating sections, displays, pages, etc).
At least intermediate experience with Adobe Photoshop and Indesign is a must. For Photoshop, must know how to glamour edit faces and add people from other photos into another photo.
Must be familiar with SLR cameras and taking photos with SLR cameras.
Must have some experience with the backend of websites.
Must have fantastic writing skills and be familiar with AP format.
Must be an independent worker without the need for constant supervision.
Must be familiar with Facebook and Twitter.
