William Hughes earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Houston as a Three-Year Cullen Fellow in Fiction. He began his advertising career with DDB New York and has helped create award-winning campaigns for some of the world's leading brands, most recently with SapientRazorfish and Barbarian. He brings a passion for brand storytelling, creative strategy, and rigorous writing workshop methods to the classroom. Prior to the industry, he published fiction and nonfiction, served as the founding editor of a notable Brooklyn literary journal, and taught literature and rhetoric at the City University of New York.
